Community Through Music

We make live music accessible to all, connect people across cultures, promote appreciation of the arts, and invigorate communities. We do this by producing 50 concerts FREE to the public every summer in each venue for a total of 100! “

CT Family Festival brings free children’s programming to families in downtown New London’s Waterfront Park and the Hygienic Art Park.  Activities to educate and inspire enthusiasm in children and families about the unique environmental treasure at their disposal with the Thames River and the ocean at its fingertips are also rare. The CT Family Festival will be a free waterfront and downtown event focused on environmental stewardship, literacy, music and the arts, meets this need while reminding families of the rich resource that the waterfront and downtown offers to them in their own backyard.  Featured at the event are all types of boats – from the research  vessel “Project O,” to tug boats, small sail boats and the Mystic Whaler; a tall ship representing the history of the New London waterfront. Children will also have the opportunity to safely try sailing with New England Science and Sailing right from City Pier.  Along with boats, the festival offers authors reading and live performances. In addition, civic, children’s, and environmental organizations and institutions offer hands-on activities geared to young children. Families will have the chance to learn about all the great resources and programs offered in their community in one location.

This July 13th through the 17th, over one hundred artists and organizations from Boston and beyond will gather on Boston Common to share their talents with you. Tobler Performing Arts.
