Free outdoor concert!  Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a family concert on the lawn.  Advanced reservations required.  Concert to be held outdoors @ the Community Center on the grass near the basketball court.  In the event of rain, the concert will be moved indoors to the Wethersfield Middle School on Silas Deane Highway.

To register, call 860-257-2801. Registration for Wethersfield Residents begins Monday, June3rd and non-resident registration begins on Friday, June 14th. Children must be registered for the 2013 Summer Reading Program to register.

The Library of Congress National Book Festival will be held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. between 9th and 14th streets

The 13th annual National Book Festival is organized and sponsored by the Library of Congress.  The festival, a celebration of the joy of reading for all ages, is free and open to the public.

The PBS KIDS Raising Readers Pavilion will be located in the middle of the Book Festival on the National Mall, near 10th St. and the Smithsonian Castle.
Mr. Steve will be performing short musical sets at  10:30, 12, 1:45 and 2:45.

In the PBS KIDS pavilion, parents and children will explore the world of literacy featuring live sing-alongs with SteveSongs, story readings and skill-building activities. Young readers can pose for pictures with their favorite PBS KIDS characters, including the cast of SUPER WHY!, Martha from Martha Speaks, The Cat in the Hat , Curious George and Arthur. Welcome the newest member of the PBS KIDS family, Daniel Tiger from Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, a series inspired by Fred Rogers.
